Dr. Sigmund Heinrich Foulkes, ( born Fuchs ) born in Karlsruhe, Germany, was a founder of Group Analysis, a specific form of group therapy, and the Group Analytic Society, London, which has an international membership in many countries. This is based on Dr. Foulkes experience gained in 25 years of group analytic practice and is a classic in the training of group psychotherapists. He knew & corresponded with Sigmund Freud from early 1930's when they were in Germany.
