The Legacy of the Divine Tarot is the third Tarot deck created by Ciro Marchetti (previously he had created both the Gilded Tarot and the Tarot of Dreams), and once more he aesthetically delights us with his style. Before introducing his new deck, Ciro Marchetti wanted to give it a story, something that would make it unique: he didn't want it to be just 78 more images (not that there would be something wrong with it, considering how talented he is!!), so the first 63 pages of the companion book (Gateway to the Divine Tarot, included in the box with the deck) set up the background of his work; it is not necessary to know this background to be able to read this deck, but of course it gives you something more, and you can appreciate it even more if you follow Valerie Sim's Comparative Tarot philosophy: the Legacy of the Divine Tarot is based on the Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot).
